Mark II Oil Cooler Original Finish

As originally supplied, was the Mark II oil cooler painted with a "radiator black" finish? I am having a pin hole leak repaired in mine, and while I am at it I want to refinish it properly.

Recently, I had a chance to view an NOS MKII oil cooler in the original box.
It was satin black.

Thanks, Pete. I received a couple of other responses via PM's, and they all agreed with what you said. So, I have ordered some satin black radiator paint (thinner than normal stuff... supposed to not interfere so much with heat transfer). I had a pin hole leak at the bottom of the inlet tube... attached photo was after that area was brazed. Cooler was pressure tested and is OK now. Already except for the painting.
