At Harrisburg Mecum auction Saturday Lot S19 a drag racer Sunbeam Tiger. 347 cu in / 500hp engine. May be on NBCsports chanel?
Also interesting Alpine w/ 190 hp Volkwagen injected 6 cylinder transplant.

Do not really believe those numbers for a 347 and if true, its on the ragged edge of splitting the block unless it is a World or other aftermarket block.

Can't even imagine the damage to that car's frame and suspension.

The engine numbers are very real , I have lots of dyno sheets and never had a problem with the block and yes was driven on the street too.. The front suspension was replaced with aftermarket spindles and coil over suspension, and the frame was reinforced in lots of locations to make the car work, and a 9'' ford . enjoy life
