I know someone in Melbounre with one MKII tach spare.. he used a 7K SV alpine one instead of the stock 5500 unit... want me to contact him?

In case you are still looking, there is a Paul Breuhan (I think in Michigan) who does this sort of work. You can check out this link to another thread: http://www.catmbr.org/VB_forum/showthread.php?t=221&highlight=gauges. He has some photos of some of his work refacing gauges. You should be able to PM him from this link.

That ebay auction is Paul b that warren posted above. Now and then eh does a buch of the guages as a complete kit and puts them for auction. Always draw decent prices.

My friend contacted me and is willing to sell the spare MKII tach.. he's just not in a rush.. so has been a little slow in getting the pictures of it and deciding what he wants to part with it for.. be it parts or $...

He no longer has his MKII so its not a back-up anymore.

I do have a set that is available, which may suit your immediate needs.
Whilst the units are new old stock, the faces themselves are actually new repro items.
Can get pictures loaded if that might work for you.

Units are built on brand new gauges and facia have been fabricated with font decals that are very close to originals. Sure in situ they will look the part in a clean MK2. An opportunity came up take part in a small group buy with a limited run, and they are no more. Will keep as a spare set for my MK2's if no interest but happy to share. The re-fabricated dials may not be your thing. Have left the clocks in the original wrapping.
Any Q's let me know. All I know on the rev counter it comes with the wiring that will tap into the existing offering, and is very much plug and play.
