Looking for an original MK1A rear view mirror and mounting arm (complete).
Thanks Chris

We all are....

The funky bent style arm is available from Sunbeam Spares in the UK, and you might want to ask Sunbeam Specialities in CA if he has one or can get you one.
The mirror head is a different matter, and a decent substitute is a later BJ8 Healey MKlll. Very similar, wrinkle painted black in the later BJ8, but screws on the back rather than rivets. I have such a mirror on my late BJ8 and would pass inspection for all but an expert eye

No help to me with a MK1 however as both the mount and mirror head are different. I am now thinking of machining the mount, and using the BJ8 mirror head.
The Cobra used an earlier Healey small rectangular mirror head that would work, but does not have the plastic surround. A passable substitute, albeit not stock, would be to paint it wrinkly black.
The AH Sprite has a black, small rectangular mirror head, but I do not have one handy to compare. Sean Johnston is a Healey expert and will know

Moss has the Healey mirrors

Iirc the other difference for the mkiii Healey mirror is it doesnt have the plastic surround lip around the edge of the mirror like the sunbeams.
I assume Jemca added these for rootes for safety...no sharp edge? They also used them on the small convex mirror

Maybe some time we can move good information out of the for sale section. These mirrors have been scarce since I got my first Tiger like 12 years ago.
