This is in the category of 'it doesn't hurt to ask'- I'm looking for a pair of front SS fender arches for my mk2 and of course the fat washer bottle and bracket.
I would be willing to buy a complete set of arches if that's what it takes.
Lastly, if anyone has an original mk2 owner's manual they would be willing to sell I need that also.
thanks

Bob,

I think I have the latter.. the former 2 are going to be a hard find.. but "seek long and hard enough and ye shal find!"

Why couldnt the MKII just use a tudor washer bad like the late SV

mk2 parts

Hi Michael, I understand that the rear arches are easier to come by, is that a reflection of the age of the typical tiger driver or is it more about the quality of the brakes?
The mk2 has that chubby bottle/bracket and from what I've heard that's the only place it ended up.
If that's not correct I would love to learn more.
In the BON it says that the early mk2's had the same bottle as the mk1's. I was talking to Norm M. a while ago and asked him when the transition to the bigger bottle took place and he said that after he wrote the book he determined that all mk2's came with the big bottle/bracket.

I think I will use a generic bottle/bracket while I'm looking for the real deal.

regards
Bob

Bob,

The MKII's had that fatter/shorter bottle and bracket. it was made by tudor and i find it hard to think it's not shared with another car (though that car will probably be just as rare knowing our luck!)

I knew someone who had one a while back.. i can dig up their details.. it was pricey IIRC.

as for the arch timrs.. any end/side is hard to come by. You can make them by slicing/extending hillman hunter GT (perhaps rapier/alpine/arrow fastback is the same) wheel arch trims.. same profile but they did not extend down as far.

anyone need any other MKIi bits.. i know someone who has a MKII tach they probably no longer need.

Does anyone have an image or dimensions of the Mk II washer bottle? I have an oddball tudor bottle and bracket that I have never been able to identify, in my parts stock.

Hi Pete, here is a picture of that bottle.
Of course the bracket is equally hard to find also.

Sorry to get your hopes up, mine is stepped near the top with Tudor printed on tapered portion.
It has given me some idea what to keep an eye out for now though
