MKII rocker stainless trim set

They are from a scepter, the issue as per the photos is that you have to work out how to match the cross hatch pattern, also iirc the mkii sill trims haveva slight bowe in them, not straight like sceptre trim

More LOL better than TV!

Borrowed from another site I would credit the picture but I think he is not a real person.

For parts that you can pick up in UK and Australia all day long for under $50... Be better to buy some and see if you can get a more "professional" job done.... These are hacked.

The items shown have been made up from Humber Sceptre Series 1 or 2 door trim. The pieces on the early Sceptres have a more pronounced cross hatching than the rocker trim of the Tiger 2, which is much fainter in appearance.
A straight cut of the trim is less obvious.

Actually.......

This particular stainless body side moulding first appeared on the Singer Vogue Mk I-IV, (Humber Vogue in Australia), Humber Sceptre Mk I and II and the later series Humber Snipes, with 8 sections per car.

As Michael suggested, when a longer version of this mould was secured to the sill of the Tiger II, (as if the stripes weren't bad enough), it appears to have been produced with a slight curvature. The above example of "professional workmanship" is a perfect example of the old saying "if you're not going to do it properly, then don't bother doing it at all...."

MKII Molding

When both end touch the wall , the curvature in the mildle (the distance betwen the wall and the molding) his half inch .

After rereading the eBay auction I'm even less impressed. As with this seller in the past there is much misrepresentation and some outright lies.

Title. "Rootes Sunbeam Tiger Mark 11 Rocker Stainless Trim Set Left and right side Rare".
*These are NOT the rare mkii sill trims.

"Each piece has a repair on it"
* There is NO repair, these are parts that have been badly botched together to look like a Sunbeam part.

If you bought these thinking there were correct you would be very upset ... That said if you own a mkii and hadn't done some research on what's correct for your car I'd be surprised, but either way the auction is still knowing deception

Not exactly

F, word but the seller is well known on SAOCA and says he is fetching parts to United save on shipping and eBay fees and pick up at event!

Make a cool set of rabbit ears for a old TV just add tin foil:D

There is every chance that there is still bidding going on to give a false high mark, then will relist at lower reserve and someone will think they are getting a deal.

Either way this auction is utterly fraudulent

I agree. I don't think anyone would pay this much for cobbled up stainless. Not to mention the seller is foolish for not letting it go for a couple hundred bucks.

Wonder if they are the ones from last time or a new " repaired" set ... Now we even have rooted packaging in the shots ....
