MKII wheel well molding from Canada

MK2 Wheel trims on Ebay

Too bad the front trims were cut 4" for front wheel/tire clearance.

irony

Funny how threads that discuss parts prices being high or rare on the Sunbeam forums generate uaciotns shortly after... it will be interesting to see what they go for.. but also shows that stuff is out there...

molding

these moldings were also used on the fastback alpine starting in 1970. the alpine pieces were a few inches shorter than what was used on the tiger. other than the length they were the same. there were some shops that bought the alpine pieces and made a few mods since they were readily available from dealers in the seventies. cost for all four was cheap. you can look at the photos of my fastback on photobucket or on the conceptcarz.com/69alpinegt site and there are photos showing the moldings. there may be a lot more out there than you think. I have spares for my car.

Yea, could somebody please start talking about how rare and expensive worn out beater Tigers are so I can sell my extra Tiger!

A Possibility ??

Having sold off our complete set of MK II trims, I can't contribute. BUT, a gentleman we know has offered to fund a quality re-pro program IF we can find a set to borrow. Just thought to throw that out there for you all to ponder . . . . .:)

Considering there are only 2 good ones out of the 4 - That comes out pretty close to 5K each.

dude... watched that movie so many times...

With Dad and G-pap both airmen, I can remember sitting in the plush blue carpet staring at the walnut veneered TV, with oil lamp to the left. Same house the tiger is in front of in my signature pic. Thanks for the laugh and the memories...

John... you are saying the 2 slightly shortened ones are worth nothing? Can be extended to original length with the fastback/hunter trim .. or ideal if you have a clipped valence which so many do.

Just joking around Michael.
MkII trim in just about any condition is worth it's weight in gold.
You are correct - the shortened pieces can be used as-is or be fixed to work for the stock MkII.

ok.. cool.. har to read sarcasm/deadpan in text ;)

maybe i should contact the buyer and offer him the fill in bits? :p
