Monterey Tiger

Wonder if they are putting it in trying to play off the tiger 50 and the big tiger race group this year? This was a 120K car last time in 2012? Will be interesting...still a cool looking bit of kit,

It was actually 2010 and the price was $152500 + buyers fees !!!

IIRC, the same fellow bought the 'back-halved' MKII from Bill Martin a couple of years ago also

So... your average Tiger has gone up about 50% since 2010 according to Hagerty... So...

While I think that is a very cool car, I'm guessing that hitting $150k again will be 100% dependent on whether the seller gets another bidding war.

The two MkII's going to auction at Monterey will, for me, be a more interesting data point...not that my car will ever be for sale in my lifetime :)

a few years back this tiger and the Hollywood car were at the BASH at Tiger Tom's in Annville, pa. it was interesting.

I sold the "Cleo" car to the Shelby's in 2003 and at that time I got all the money in the world for a Tiger--today you could not buy an older driver for that price. I would say in the last 10 years they have gone up 3-4 times.

Monterey Auction

Last night Russo & Steele sold a highly modified custom built metallic Tungsten 1965 tiger for $149 600. Not the HSC replica.

It WAS the black HSC 'Tribute' car that sold for $149,500 at R&S... not quite what it sold for last time although there are always those pesky 'buyers fees'

So... $149,500 for the 'tribute' on Thursday... $210,000 for the green MKII @ RM last night... and this afternoon a red MKII that has been highly 'aclaimed' ( maybe not so much on this site )...

Any guesstimates on today's sale price ?? A couple days ago I would have thought the 'hype 'alone would make todays car sell for the highest this weekend but I would be amazed to see it pass yesterday's !
