Come to find out I have a GT style door on the passenger side and a regular on the drivers side of my '66. Bodywork and paint are in the foreseeable future so I am hoping someone can give me a lead. Thanks!

The door metal is the same. The only difference is the trim. The GT has a metal unit above the door card that attaches to the window channel also trimmed.
The GT also had the 5 unit door trim same as the Mk1A Tiger and series V, and V1 alpines.

Actually the GT doors have small hat tabs around the perimeter that holds the door trim further out to align it to the door waist roll and deeper 1/4 light base. This is also why they have the additional chrome tab at the latch to hold the door trim.

Staygoing, do you need a round or square corner door?

Also I believe a forum member here used to make repros of the small top hat brackets so you could convet an ST door to GT door

The Wee Clips

You should be able to figure out the simple locating tool from the picture. The clips themselves are fairly easy to duplicate with some 16 gauge tin and patience.

Thanks so much for all the great advice! My passenger door has the elevated tab type door and an ill fitting standard door card. Makes sense, now. The driver side standard card clips directly onto the door metal and seems like a natural fit. Although it is a crossover car (#237)the doors are square cornered.
I am going to snap pics of each and send them to Warren for deciphering. Not too computer savvy here but I will try to post them here, as well.
Many thanks!

Happy to help

Tom, We value content here very much . In the section forum notes is a Tutorial on picture resizing as most phones automatically shoot really megapixel ones. Thanks to Derek for the fine tutorial. Look forward to seeing the beast.

Gt Door

Many thanks to all those who have shared their knowledge with me! As I explained to Warren, some health matters have prevented me from returning to the forum sooner. Warren has been of great help in identifying my mismatched doors. It is the case that the driver door has been replaced with an earlier door and likely altered to be square. Still dealing with some mechanical issues so there is not an urgent need for the correct door but it is something I would like to have on hand when it is time for paint.
I should warn those nice enough to respond......I have a lot more brain picking to do...... I'll try not to be a pest, though. Many thanks, again, and a special shout out to Warren.
I just tried to attach pics but was notified of a "token missing". Is that a CAT security thing and how does one get that fixed?

Warren notes are correct. However, just as another tip, I often run into the Token issue when more than one tab in the browser is opened to CAT. Close one or all and try again with only one tab in operation. usually solves that.
