A friend of mine is just starting a new build on a MK II.
The plans are to have it ready for next years event in Big Springs.
This car is being built way out side the box.
His goal is to show what a 2014 MK II would look like today.
It will be powered by a all aluminum 363 ci fuel injected motor.
Six speed transmission
Ford 9 inch
4 link rear suspension
Dales front suspension
6 piston disk brakes
18 inch wheels
Power widows
Air conditioned
Tan leather interior
Red paint
.The person that is doing the build does inpecable work.
Will try to learn how to post pictures as this project proceeds.
 
This project sounds fantastic. Many of us have seen artist's renditions of what a current day Tiger might look like. PICS !!!!!!!!!!!

Is he using a real MKII as a base? I would think that some of the rear suspension mods and the trans mods will require some modified metal work.. bit of shame to do that on a MKII.. not many of them around. :eek:

true, and look each to their own.. if it's your car you can do what you want with it. I am guilty of modifications on all of my Sunbeams, I choose to do things that are reversible (bolt on/off) I guess I was more along the lines of having to alter the body on a MKII is perhaps a big step.... that said.. if the owner gets what he wants.. all's good i guess. :)

Hard to picture that in the context of a Tiger wheelbase. Yes each to his own. I look forward to the reality as it evolves into whatever it is.

Yes Michael it is a real MK II I think he said it is #542 he just sold #110. I also think this guy is a little off his rocker but he has his reasons that I won't go into since he is a friend of mine.
He says he will send me a monthly progress report with pics.
