Just finished my 6,000 lb cap. lift installation so I can continue my restoration with more comfort.

Uses portable Hydraulic Unit and removing 10 bolts the posts can be removed and rolled away.

It will lift 16" more than the position shown in the pics:

So Cool

Norm,

Your lift and garage look fantastic! I think I have garage envy.

Good... no, Great for you

I just love the flexibility. I'm fawning over a garage makeover, preferably prior to seeing this one collapse upon the current occupant.

This set-ups just look like a great way to get access, without breaking the bank, nor preventing me from building extra storage above (i.e. false spare BR).

As a matter of course, in your seingle car set-up, I would rarely see the need to remove and wheel away. But mine is a 1.6 width detached. That second / middle post will be right in the way of lots of stuff if'in I ever were to git one. I like the idea of being able to move it aside. But... don;t like the idea of me messing with it too much either.

Very nice...

alternative to two post lift

Anyone have any experience with a Ranger Quik Jack? It's a portable unit in two pieces that store flat enough to drive a car over. Lift height is enough to roll around easily on a creeper. Popular for use at race tracks. wouldn't be enough for a complete restoration, but you could do a lot of stuff with it, and it doesn't take up much roome.

Costco

Has a similar two post for 2000 .
I want something too . I'm no engineer but the bolt down bothers me.

How do you think things get fastened to concrete?

It's all engineered but it depends on your having a 4" solid concrete pad.

With dem big ones

Norm, did look the Damar video . Just the idea of the footprint being so narrow and the bolt pattern. Call me weird but living in Cali. and being under a rocking car in a little seismic event,
