Have just been talking to a good friend of mine. Bob has a MK1A he imported from SA a few years ago. Bob is also in his late 70's, me, im early 60's (youngun). He mentioned a great mechanic he knew from some years ago that had worked on racing machines most of his time. His words were, you have a motor that starts first time, does what you want and gives you enjoyment. If you are a typical classic or older car owner, it doesn't matter if the car uses a pint or 2 per 100 miles. Cause thats all its doin every six months or so. So spend your money on making shore the brakes are good, the tires also. The lubrication of all moving joints & bearings is very importent. Leave the motor to do its work without spending heaps and all will be happy.
