On-Track Group photo for all Tigers Aug. 14

This is still to be confirmed with track management so watch the forum for updates. Tentative plan is to pre-stage Tigers at 4:00 pm, so we can move quickly. Race Tigers assembly at head of line. Move onto track at 5:00, position cars at start/finish line. First photo is with race cars in front, second photo just street Tigers. With and without owner/driver standing next to car. We have at most a half hour for the photo op. Sorry, no parade lap as there is pedestrian traffic on track and course workers are off duty.

Keep an eye on this thread for updates. This is an opportunity for a historic photo, with you and your car in it.

I have seen the monterey "marque" pics fro that 3/4 aerial infront of the bridge for porsche, ferrari, alfa, bugatti... about time the Sunbeams made their "mark" hope it all pans out.
 
We are not heading down until O'dark thirty Friday so no pic for us--might have to photo shop me in. haha. Hopefully someone has a Med Blue car and I can say it's me. See some of you in the corral Saturday.

Some of us have never been to the track but are heading to the event from other states.

As it becomes available, the more specific the information on where to meet the better :)

Sounds like we need to pre-stage the pre-stage to be sure given traffic conditions, etc :)

Date and time update

I, too admire Alan, and really looking forward to a good turnout. Note that the date has changed and now confirmed for Friday August 15, not Thursday. THis should help turnout and the corral is available from Friday to sunday. Track admission and corral parking pass are required and advance purchase can be done at www.mazdaraceway.com.

Please be in the corral with you car no later than 4 pm. we will pre-determine grid by lottery so we can move quickly. We have a half hour to set up several shots.

Travel safely and see you in Monterey.
 
I contacted the track to see if I can get in Friday for the picture without having to purchase a ticket--I only bought a 1 day Saturday pass and corral pass. Will keep you posted as to what I hear.
In years past they have let us in late Friday for free--but this is a new year so things may have changed.
