The shop manual indicates the original tires had a rolling radius of 11.5 inches. So look for a radial tire that has a diameter of at least 23 inches plus maybe a smidge more.
I do not think the rolling radius is spec'd on tires any more, just the, presumably, mounted but unloaded total diameter. If I am wrong on that someone please enlighten me.
Anyway the 23 inch plus a smidge figure should get you close enough. And remember to check to confirm the tire is spec'd to fit on a 4 1/2 inch rim.
Also, just a reminder to use original factory lug nuts with the stock wheels since the hole taper is different from most wheels today. Last I checked, Sunbeam Specialties had them. Apologies if this is old info, I have come across people that do not know that, so thought it worth mentioning. Just an abundance of caution thought.
Doug Jennings found some 13 " inch tires that are tall tires. I don't remember the exact height but I think he said they are around 25 to 26 inch height. I know that they filled the wheel well when we set the tires and wheels on my alpine. they did clear my front valance since he trimmed it several years ago. they may be too tall for some front valances.
The tires on my stock wheels are odd in that they don't have an aspect ratio-- they are simply 165R13. I believe that implies an aspect ratio of 80. These are Dunlop SP 20 A/S.
