ouch

I wonder if the insurance co wrote it off? Salavage title?
Its all repairable and you could clip it...

Seems odd the owner hasnt got the insurance co to start to sort it.. Maybe the accident just removed the interest in owning it.. :-(

Stories

Look back in the BaT been much worse in their archives. I say frustration as to finding a non production repair facility has festered and time to cut losses.
I recall a member here looking for diminution of value after his never wrecked car was hit on top of the cost to repair. Surprised he didn't ask for loss of use :) read the policy and put the payment on auto pay with a credit card you don't use often,"insurance agent pleadings to often out of force client's," No I did not hear that suggested to me. Not sure if Il. is a transferable registration state or titles cars over 25 years old. I've seen several cars on BaT with title wash transferrable registration tag's on them. Those cars need a better look than most. An example would be the VA white Tiger with a Vermont tag on BaT. To end on a positive note look at the signatures on the TAC cert.

A Minor Structural Challenge

So, do we know the owner ? The lads here could set that straight.

my tiger on BaT

Hi all
I bought the car in 1983 and have been a CAT member since the mid 80's. This has always been a midwestern car (since 1974 at least) and it was just a driver when I bought it and has been that way since. I have always just insured it for liability. If I had more time, space and inclination, I would look for an Alpine front clip and fix it. I think it is time for something else or at least a Tiger in better overall condition. Thanks for all the comments bad and good. We'll see how high the bidding goes.

car

Hi Bill, if the rear end and transmission are original to the car you should add that to the auction comments.

If they are it's a good thing and might help calm bidder fears.

I think if you give Norm M. the stamped numbers he can tell you if they are correct.

Anyway, bummer about the car and good luck with the auction.
