Anyone know what the proper paint / material is to use in refinishing the wheel wells of a 65 Tiger? Is it simply semi-gloss black paint?

Should be the external body color.

This is correct however most dealers sold undercoating as an option
so it is also correct to undercoat with a black rubberized undrecoating material
such as Eastwoods 16008ZP rubberized undercoating....

I used black rubberized undercoating, saves the fenders from rock dings from the underside.

Yes, since my are already black of some sort, on a green car, I think I will do the same. Thanks again guys.

Cover up

If you have too take plenty of hi quality pics before rattle can undercoating. We always wonder what's lurking under the undercoating, a pic in the car file is a good idea as before and after.

I have heard and read the description of a broom being used at the factory for undercoating application.

Having worked under some original Tigers, I more than support the broom use theory. As a matter of fact, it had to be a broom with huge straw bristles!
