As I prepare the Tiger for paint I may have a few questions about what things are (for).

The first of my questions in in regards to 2 hoses/tubes in the trunk. There is a short approx 3/16" clear tube coming from the upper portion of the right hand front wall of the trunk and there is a approx 1/2" black longer tube which is sealed on the end and has 4 holes along the side towards the sealed end. Thant hose goes down through the body and looks like a drain,,,but for what? the spare well? the area inder the convert top?

Here is a picture:

The smaller tube coming out of the right hand front wall is the battery vent tube. I have carpet glued to the bottom of the trunk, so I can't take a peek at where your other hose might be going.

I can't wait to see the variety of answers this one produces . . . .

As people are probably tired of hearing by now, like Randy I am also an original owner. I do know the answers but will not spoil the fun, just yet! :D

Cheers, Gene

PS: I am surprised you still have the big tube...

Had that backwards...my bad! That's what I get for trying to do it from memory. My entire trunk is carpeted from the p.o. I haven't had a look under their in a loooong time.

IIRC there should be a part on the thick tube that has little cap ends that push down over the battery fluid fillers.. that connects to the vent tube... have seen those pop up now and then on ebay.. not probably many cars wtih them left, then agian a nice ultima selaed battery negates the need for them :)
