A question curiosity on carpet kits ...........

Are all of the "Upper Scale" kits made of multi - pie pieces , so they will conform to the Trans-tunnels transition better ?

Is there even such a "Molded Carpet" ? ( Would probably fit like H#%L )

Most of the "Up Scale" kits are going for $500 - $550 . Does this seem correct ?

Yes , heard it before , "You get what you pay for " .

I was happy with the carpet kit from Sunbeam Specialties. Carpet fit was tight with no waves including the transmission tunnel, minimal trimming of carpet was required, good quality carpet with adhered thick jute backing. Cost was $330, falling below the range you noted in post.

Good luck,

Only thing I didn't like about Rick's was the piece that goes over the rear 'shelf' ... The one I removed was 2 pieces ( separate one to go over the rear end clearance 'hump' ) but his was one piece and I found it hard to fit it as it doesn't stretch over that hump very well...

I got a kit from the place in Australia that advertises on eBay, the trans tunnel piece was molded and fit very well, plus they made the whole kit in the hunter green color I wanted. The only possible comment I might have about the kit is that all the carpet pieces were considerably oversized and needed trimming, although they did have chalk marks at the appropriate spots. Much better than too small!

Can you share the eBay link or the manufacture link?

Thanks

I guess I should have more accurately stated "all the pieces that didn't have bound edges" were considerably oversized, i.e. the trans tunnel and firewall pieces. The bound pieces were accurately sized.
