Rear View Mirror Wanted MK1

Small Veraus Large Rear View Mirrors
From the Rootes Alpine Parts List, it would appear that Tigers made the switch from the small rear view mirror to the large rear view mirror starting with B9474200. In other words, the switch was made before the start of the Mk IA Tigers. One of the JPGs is a shot of part of Plate B - Section YX, where we can read the small mirror is labeled 134 and the large mirror is labeled 134/1. The other JPG shows these two mirrors (and part numbers) in the parts list.

Convex mirror
Look at the posting of Ken's where he discusses re silvering his original mirror. It's a nice convex from a driver's perspective. I asked about the change order because my MK1 came with the later mirror. But it also has the later heater controls so I was kind of hoping that it was right. I did buy one on eBay some time ago with the convex mirror but it doesn't have the little bitty ledge on the mount that goes over the bracket for the visors. So be careful to look for that if you are looking for a really correct one. I think I have a drilled no glass one laying around if you can't find anything else. It is a hillbilly fix just drill a couple holes in it and put the new mirror over the old mirror. Kind of like putting the new TV on top of the old TV
