Hi Guys,

I could really do with some help here. I am recovering the seats in my Tiger and have used the excellent guide on the Tigers United site. However the covers I have for my seat backs are different to the ones shown in that guide.

So my question is how do I attach the covers over the side bolsters as shown by the arrows?

Thanks.

Don't have recent pics for ya but; Mechanics wire poked thru the vinyl seam and "twist-tied" to the frame inner uprights. Involves pushin'/pullin' & patience. Keeping the ties' angles equal will keep the patterns straight.

Were you working with vinyl that had been first warmed in the sun so it stretches easier?

Thanks very much, that makes sense. It also explains the bits of wire that were on the frames. To explain my confusion, my seats had the two part foam fitted with cheap & nasty one piece covers slipped over them. I also had part of the strap arrangement still fitted, with diaphragms bodged into place, so it has taken a fair bit of time to work out how everything went together. Think I'm getting there though!

Yes BT, I've been warming the covers with a hair dryer. It's helped a lot.

I'll let you know how I get on.
