Restoration begins

Restoration is underway for my 1965 Tiger. Stripped and ready for the body shop!

Be nice to see the as found pictures. There's a purple one on Craigslist now . Funny how I always thought that was a really cool color.

Good luck with your restoration. Are you going completely stock, or making some changes? Cliff

I'll be making some changes i.e. suspension and disk brake upgrades other than that stock.

Front end

Keeping it G rated driving a car with modern Dale's or now antique Hokanson front end is like VW 36 horsepower vs any 911....

I made the mistake of test driving one and it left my rather unhappy with the worked below average with 5.60 X 13" bias belted tires stock front end.

Taking a bit longer than I thought but here is an update.

Engine 331 stroker 440 hp, 406 torque (almost done still need some parts powder coated)

Body finally paint, now we wait then reassemble!

The body looks very good in his new paint - very much improved over the first photos you posted!

Restorations seem to always take longer than expected. At least you are keeping up your spirits by imagining what that engine is going to do when you take out your Tiger for the first time after the restoration. What fun you will have!
