Wanted to buy right Motor mount hanger,

or will trade a left side hanger for a right side.

...long story short, the bottom line is I ended up with a PAIR of hangers that
were both the Left side.

This is an on going "need," as I have had the useless "pair" since about 1982....

Who ever ended up with Howie's parts should have an odd "pair" also...

Even though the Tri-"Y" engine hanger may be specific per made / part number .
All that was done was a slight "C" notch performed on the casting for clearance . The casting is majorly beefed , and where the "C" notch clearance is done at , it DOES NOT effect structural ingenuity of the part.

Doug - First you need the actually engine hanger for the side your working with . Next ........ it's called Mock-up / Trial & Error ( but leave out the error ) . Fit the hanger on to get engine ride height . Block motor in this position . Fit the Tri-"Y" . Make a template engine hanger out of poster board , taped together to make your mock up . Fit the template , and note areas of trimming . once clearance is achieved , transfer the area that needs trimming over to the actual part . I've been here before on similar situations .

Tri-Ys?

I still need / looking for a right side motor mount hanger.

At this point, I'm thinking of having a friend with a CNC mill make a Tri-Y type out of aluminum.

Anyone "been there and done that" ?

And I have been long thinking that a few LBs off the front end of the race car would not be a bad thing,

so a pair in light alloy would be good...:------

I have a set of the "tri Y" motor mounts and recently took them to my fab guy - he said he could duplicate them for around 3 hours per side and they would be very close in resemblance yet stronger and lighter. It can be done..

Dan, grant w in Canada used to have the mounts and might have made a few repros iirc?

There was a guy in the UK that had made alloy mounts for tigers, was selling on eBay, but they were both stock, not the modified rhs tri-y mount.

New Vendor

One of our pending vendors has in the pipe the Tri- Y mounts for production. As told he purchased the fabrication materials from Grant, Please stand by for further news.

Hi Guys,

I will be making a limited run of the Tri-Y Right Side HSC 2 Engine Hangers soon...

I purchased the mold and machining tools from Grant a few years ago. The repro mounts will be made the same way as the originals.

The price will be app. $400.00 each. If I can do better on the price, I will. It gets a little cheaper the more we make.

Please message me if you would like one...

Here is a pic of the original and the repro:

Update

I just picked up a right side hanger.

So now the offer to swap a left side for a right side is off my table.

However, I still need one right side to make another pair.
