Most know Scooter Patrick as a legendary Porsche driver from the 60s.
But, as many Tiger owners also know, he had a day job. He sold Tigers at his PAM dealership in Manhattan Beach. And he even help develop a prototype fastback Tiger that Rootes never put into production.
A couple years ago he even raced our SCF Tiger at the Coronado Festival of Speed.
Scooter has always been quite generous with his time for our marque, sharing his Tiger stories at several Tigers Uniteds, most recently several years ago at the Queen Mary.
Unfortunately time is overtaking him. He's developed some heath problems and his family could use some help with his care. The Riverside International Racing Museum is putting on a combination birthday party and fundraiser for him next Saturday to help out with his care expenses. (1-4PM)
If you want to attend or simply donate to help a great Tiger guy, you can call Norma Jordan (Davey's wife) at RAIM (951)369-6966.
