Selling dealership

Do you really think shipping lists by Rootes and the dealers over 50 years ago are still in existence? they were on paper as well.

Rootes Archive Trust Center

The Rootes Archive Trust Center produces certificates that might contain original dealer information. I say might because most of the records are pre-1962. They say they have records post-62, but they might not be as comprehensive.

According to the website, the certificates include: chassis #, engine #, vehicle type, colour, date of build, date of dispatch and WHICH DEALER IT WENT TO. I am not sure if dealer info includes cars built for export.

Check it out...www.rootesarchivecentre.org

I can confirm the factory records the Rootes Archive Centre Trust access for the Tiger do NOT include details of Dealership customers. This though is available for earlier Rootes models

I have seen a couple of examples of screen stickers shipped with the cars from Cardiff, but they are one rare piece. Pictured on the nearest Tiger in this image. Also shows the disposable covers used to protect soft tops.
