Trying to start my rebuilt 260. It's getting fuel and spark, but it's backfiring through the carb, so I think the timing is off. The Workshop Manual says to set TDC on #6 to position to statically position the distributor, but all the other SBF manuals say to use #1. Anyone been through this recently or know which is correct?
