I have these deteriorated straps from the boot (convertible area not trunk) area. Does anybody have specifics on 1) material and 2) length (overall and by segment).
Thank you,
Josh

They are made of pirelli rubber.. sunbeam specialties sells replacemnts.. just add them to the order sheet.

The material of the SS parts is not exactly the same as the original stuff.

It fits and functions fine but it would not be a concours reproduction part.

Any pictures available og them in place and doing what they are supposed to be doing?

No pics, but a description.

One end pop rivets to the sheet metal "wall" in front of the top stowage space.
The flat metal piece acts as a washer to spread the rivet loads.
The metal hook points down and engages a hole that is drilled in the aluminum extrusion that secures the convertible top to the body of the car.

The boot cover rests on the two straps and the end of the strap folds back on top of the boot cover and snaps onto that strange little tit on top of the cover.

All this is done with the top up.
It closes off the top storage space and makes the car might quieter on the highway.
