Smaller than the usual Tiger

As I just read it in the TE/AE newsletter, I presume it will also surface in CAT's. I read a short notice of an upcoming 1/43rd scale Tiger from Automodello. I have one of their Griffith 200's (and an Intermeccanica Italia on order) and, if its quality is any indication, it should be nice. Usual disclaimers, etc.

Oddly, not going to get one myself, as my collection of 1/43 Ameripowered cars already has Tigers, an Enco and one of the first K&R kits, yet to be assembled.

Guaranteed not to leak! :p

She stabbed me (again)

If you do that, maybe ask for a club-group-buy-specific color? They already do special editions...

The bride chimmed in with " A model that detailed should come with parts missing and never finished" . . . . .ouch!

A model that detailed

I see her point , but for "detailed", a coworker shows me his various 1/18ths, mostly Ferraris, I think that have everything but an operative dipstick and maybe even that. I certainly would not mind a 1/8 Tiger done at that level (might have to sell my BON to pay for one thought).

I pre ordered one of the limited addition Tigers (24 oniy). Will have esplainin to do when we get the CC bill

Incredible details 1/6 scale

No matter what your favorite flavour, it's hard not to appreciate these works: A Duesenberg in Miniature by Louis Chenot

Negra Modelo is one of my favorite Mexican brews but has anyone actually seen an Automodello? Whats the quality like? I was interested and went to their website but there seems to be pages and pages of pre-orders. Do they really make them or just collect your money?

Like I mentioned earlier, I do have at least one of their cars, and more on their (admittedly long lead time) pre-orders.

The Griffith looks great to me but I'm not hyper-picky, so YMMV; as long as a car is 1/43rd and European with an American engine, it goes on the display shelf. I got a Pantera model that was for-the-club-only and it's gorgeous, but also have a scruffy old (Corgi?) play-toy Ghia L6.4 that could use a re-paint. And anything in between.

Maybe it's in another topic, but yet another scale model Tiger. I just got the latest (30th anniversary issue) Classic and Sportscar and on the monthly page of various model cars is a small picture and brief mention of a Tiger by Landsdowne. I'll venture a guess only new-ish releases make the magazine article. I tried to find Landsdowne's website, no go, but here's something:

YMMV, no affiliations, etc. And does not appear as well detailed as the Automodello car, maybe just worthwhile for anyone collecting as many miniature Tigers as possible.
