We just got home from a rain soaked week at Infineon.
We had mostly dry practices on Thursday and Friday but on Saturday we were rained out. That meant all classes raced on Sunday.
We started our combined Ap & Bp run group with 23 entries. By our race time a light rain was causing the cars to throw rooster tails at many locations around the track. Half the field did not start the Sunday race in part because without rain tires many felt racing was too risky. There were only 12 cars on the grid but 5 were Tigers! John, Tom Sakai, Grant Lipsky, Gordon England and Lorraine Gruys.
John Morton ended up with the pole (in our SCF Tiger) using our standard dry tires. After the green flag flew, he was cautious going into the first turn and John made room for an aggressive Mustang. However that Mustang blew up 2 laps later and John retook the lead, keeping it to the checkered flag. All the Tigers finished the race.
