I've been squeezing my head under the dash to install cubby box and I'm quite fed up with this old shop light I've been using. Either shines in my eyes or not where I need it. Any suggestions for a good light?
I recently replaced all of the drop shop lights in my shop and I settled
on two types. The fluorescent tube lights are bulky due to the transformer
in the handle but they give out the most light so I have a couple of Snap-on
lights fluorescent drop lights that I got from Costco. The LED lights put out a bright white light and the handles are much smaller so I have a couple of those hanging for times when a snap-on is too big.... I use the snap-on's the most.
when working under dash step one remove seat simple two nuts & bolts i use foster grant reading glasses called lightspecs they have built in head lights that shine where your looking bought on ebay about 20 bucks
I've become quite a fan of Bayco's LED rechargeable lights.
The ones I've been using have two magnets on each light that can grab nicely to steel. They come with a little hook that can attach to either magnet. They have something like 30 LEDs that can be used for area lighting and also have an LED flashlight built into the handle.
They come with a recharger that runs on either 110v or 12v (cigarette lighter plug).
Thanks for the lead. I'm going to buy tomorrow. Can't lose too much on a deal like that.
I noticed on Amazon a lot of the complaints were about the lights not working very long. I see in Harbor Freight ad they state "Portable flashlight runs for 48 hours". Does "runs" mean "works"? LOL
