From the Pacific Tiger Club... I have a copy of the registration form for those interested... or contact budd.bennion@comcast.net for one...

Get those vacation days lined up now! 2011 marks the return of Sunbeam
Northwest, a weekend-long gathering of Rootes enthusiasts.

Sunbeam Northwest was first held in Eugene, Oregon in 1979, organized by an ad hoc group of Oregon Sunbeam fanatics. Since then, the event has been held every
few years, sponsored by groups from Oregon, Washington or British Columbia. This
year, Pacific Tiger Club has volunteered to host Sunbeam Northwest from August
5-7.

The hotel at Little Creek Casino, a few miles from Shelton, Washington will be
Sunbeam Central for the weekend. What's on the agenda? How about a rally thru the picturesque woods of western Washington? For the
polish-til-your-knuckles-bleed crowd, a concours. And for those of us who love
to dodge cones, we'll have an autocross at the Shelton Airport.

Tentative schedule:

Thursday evening - registration/hospitality room
Friday - concours, rally/BBQ
Saturday - autocross
Sunday - awards breakfast

We hope to see lots of PTC members and their Tigers, Alpines, and everything
from the Rootes Group in the parking lot come August 5th!

Just a heads up for those phoning the Little Creek Casino for reservations...( 360-427-7711 or toll free 1-800-667-7711 ) ,I called and asked about a room and told them it was for 'Sunbeam Northwest' and they had no idea what I was talking about ! To make it worse, there is a George Thorogood concert there on the Saturday night and I was told the place was fully booked for that night !!

I finally figured out that the block of rooms is under 'Pacific Tiger Club' (duh!) and had no problem booking all three nights after that. As of yesterday, there were 18 Queen/Queen rooms and I think 5 or 6 King rooms left, all non-smoking.

I thought I'd better post a few pics of the event although I didn't take many... I can't list off all the event winners except I do remember in the autocross, Mike Hokanson crushing all comers including a couple of 'prepped' 'Vettes in his dad's car... and Gary Haslip driving the wheels off his Mk II at the same event ! At one point I thought I saw air under 2 wheels ! lol!

Love the air cleaner--thanks for the pics.

Great pics and looks like a healthy turn out. The aircleaner is very cool, was it CNC'd? Also, does anyone know the owner of the silver Tiger with the LAT70 wheels?

Yes, the air cleaner top was CNC'd out of a piece of 1/2" aluminum and fit's a specific aftermarket air cleaner...
Sorry, I don't recall meeting the owner of the silver car...
