I bought a petronix ignition for my 260 Tiger from Sunbeam Speacialty's. I don't think my tach is going to work with this set up so what are my options to regain the use of my tach. I understand that this is a popular upgrade .

STOA had a tech page describing the conversion . I had my local speedometer shop do it but I was never really pleased with the results . This time I am going the refaced Autometer 8000 rpm route. I can send you the page for STOA if you'd like.
If you search the team net archives i think there is a part number that is for a conversion box that solves the issue that you put inline from the dizzy. I will see if i can find it for you later.
For a guy that only installed car stereos and fixed slot cars like me. The STOA article is still available but I have not seen since the changed up their website. I do have it downloaded, and I know there is no copyright on it but hesitate to slab it up here. The links below are what M King was talking about. I had not seen a box in line converter like the old 6 to 12 volt VW ones that come to my mind when the words conversion box comes up
