Don't know either of them, but have seen Volvo guys on several Sunbeam Forums for some time..

Hard to pass up without comment on how much more valuable a reputation a hard top undisturbed ID and ___________________ fill in the blank affects the worth of the projects.

I wonder why the ID was removed from the car on the 4x6 lumber skids?
Probably so it would not have been stolen while parked in the field?

Holy cow, I am thinking of Tom Hanks in the money pit laughing itstead of crying in the scene where the tub falls thru the floor,
Buyer may well have the same feeling as what else will be discovered when the resto begins..

Maybe One of Them

1 will get ya 10 neither of the money pits hit sellers reserve (if they were local i would bid)

Mark's offering has promise, knowing that chasing rust & history thru a Tiger will dent the mattress money. I've already had a couple of phone calls asking what I thought it would take to make it a decent driver. Since the crystal ball is now retired, I couldn't (wouldn't) answer. The piece on the pallet has nothing to offer me fer sure. To each his own . . . . . .

I would be afraid to remove the roll bar for fear that the car would fall apart. That's a lot of rust, I guess we are spoiled here in good 'ol California.

These cars had no dipping paint, in zinc or other galvanizing techniques as modern cars have. While cars are painted in the factory with a really great red oxide primer it is important to note that all the metal inside any body cavity would be raw steel.

I have ended up with a really light hardtop in that an amazing amount of flaking has dropped out thru the electrolytic process.

Be scared to go over bumps in a car that had been so crusty and rusty.
California has places that rain over 200 days a year and anything outside within 3 miles of the beach in the salt air laden breeze. So not all from Cali. is clean. I have got some really rusty bikes out of a garage for 25 years that rusted horribly as they were 3/4 mile from the beach and next to the mostly always open garage door

Improper storage kills dam near everything

Have seen the green Tiger on the pallet. The floors and the entire X frame are entirely gone, as are the inner rockers, and most of teh parcel shelf. It has a fairly good firewall, but the remains of the X frame and transmission tunnel end after 10 inches or so. Trunk floor is there but rather rusty. Has the cross member, steering column, and engine braces, and some trim. Sadly, was probably left to sit uncovered on the ground. David
