...having found a few more original bits

It's a shame that the second side of the trunk pieces is a little rough, but it is certainly nicer than having the open tank...I think... And I can always use it as a template or similar.

The oil cap was attached to the valve covers, so thats a no-brainer...and yet I'd been bidding (and losing) on eBay for one of these...

...having found a bit of new hope for more discoveries

the panels were easily found amongst random woodie and mustang stuffs, but still no signs of the bigger treasure I'm after (air cleaner and fan shroud). That said, a more thorough digging once there's time may lead to more findings.

...folks like many of you who serve or have served our land.

Thought the helo guys might enjoy a pic of Dad's flight suit from times past.

...people helping me through this restoration.

the forum has been a great place for info and motivation. so thanks to all of you as well.

May the coming holidays bring you more joy, be it less rust than expected, a practically 'free' eBay find or a passerby giving you the thumbs up at the stoplight...

Thanks,

Thanks,

Not Tiger memories but: Like the flight suit; serving early RVN, my suit was pre-camo cut-off fatigues and a railroad hat. One day, landed next to a fully starched IG who busted us for being sunburnt and out of uniform. The fact that we had no TOE dress gear at the time eluded him . . . . . .

Simple things

Like getting buggered up bolts off of the stock cast iron exhaust manifold installed by D.P.O. and them not breaking off.
A nice tight 20 plus year old exhaust that is almost corked up sounding, but it seems the car actually runs better.
Not having to drive it in the rain this week, and a post card day in the land where we don't trust air we can't see.
Test driving another Tiger yesterday. It is really great to feel the difference patience and sorting will do. I feel like I'm close to getting all the Walmart fixes out and its a great feeling.
Good to find those OG trunk cards the plastic ones I got bug me.
I've seen some ones on UK tiger site actually made of original style material.

Dittos on the Viva USA.
