Sunbeam parts

Hi. Bill in Chattanooga. I'm finishing up my wife's Mk1a and need steering wheel parts. I bought it as a basket case and it had only 2 rivets. Luckily, the only two that matter. Anyway, I can't find the brass disc that the horn ring contacts. Also, I don't have the knurled knob that adjusts the wheel. If you have any of these, I'd appreciate a call or e-mail. Thanks, Bill (wsterchi@comcast dot net)

I am in need of a steering wheel if you still have one. Please let me know

If you need a core Alpine one I have one that you can send to the rebuilders on the East coast. 65sunbeam is involved in the project.

I have a whell that can be refinished (wood) but the hub is cracked so not safe. Is there a way to replace the whole hub piece?

Same guy 65Sunbeam Eric in the White pages section for the hub replacement. There's only so much you can do with JB weld.
Lots of guys with varying degrees of success repair their existing wood. Sometimes they come up on eBay UK as an Alpine GT part in decent shape.

I've had very good steering wheel work done by our friend in Colorado. Fully recast hub and wood repaired/finished better than stock. Just sayin'/no affiliation

"our friend in Colorado,"
He's probably hanging out with Chuck Daly if it's the same guy named Ken C. who's also off to the great garage in the sky...
Although scuttlebutt has it that Ken had a partner in the steering wheel business. The steering wheel is like an AC housing under the hood it is the center piece that everything else evolves around. Of course I'm prejudiced on the housings but after doing wood on sailboats for many many moons you learn to appreciate fine brightwork as well.

I had my Steering wheel done by Bruce Crawford and he installed Eric's hub which I purchased and sent to him with the wheel. Here is the result.
