Probably a radiator fluid manufacturer sticker. Something like "Only use brand X in your radiator!".

Or

Use a maximum 8 lb cap , but every Tiger owner put on a 16 lb and promptly blew out the sides of the heater core and caused stress cracks in the E tank .

:)

Tiger overflow tank Sticker

See other picture taken from different book !!!!

Probably heat from first usage loosened the glue and they have all fallen off. Would it be appropriate to have a permanently bonded sticker?

sticker

it might be as simple as an oil change sticker. alpines did have a tag on the radiator concerning the anti freeze so maybe that's what this is. did jenson install the bulkhead tags concerning negative ground and also the stickers on the speedometer like rootes did on alpines?

Can't say as I've ever seen a pic showing a decal... until now

Here's a couple of early road test pics...
First is Nov. '64 Sports Car Graphic... second is the same mag Dec. '64 with a few LAT goodies added... no sign of anything on the tank

Edit: You may be on to something... a little 'surfing' turned up B472302 which has a sticker !!
