Deep into one

I paid $40 for one at a swap meet but I had to drive to Sunbeam Specialties. it'd be nice if we could have our own concourse discussion, or what's fake and what's not. I think the moss one looks pretty good as well. Way better than a white plastic battery tray .

New plastic

The new plastic reproduction looks well new. There's a thread on the Alpine site with with a fella in the UK who has devised a manner of cleaning the old ones to look really great. A lot of people say they're only original ones and uses many original parts as you can and I agree with that 100% . That is unless you're building a modified car and then what do you need that plastic tray for anyway. You're probably not want to carry a battery that big in the first place.

Back to the enquiry about the tool strap. I received the HORN today, the magazine from the SAOC of Britain and in their parts section they have a tool strap listed. So I do not know what the strap looks like or what it costs but it may be an option to look at

Tool bag strap

Last fall was parting out an MGB with some Friends , I took the jack bag and the jack for use in my Tiger . This morning was cleaning my tiger trunk , I look at the bag , on the bag there a strap with 2 clips wich are exactly as the tiger one .(The MGB his the year with rubber bumper) Good luck hunting !!!!

Buy one from Moss, make sure one is a similar length. Next post it on eBay as a reproduction Sunbeam item and get yours for free. Sounds straight out of the playbook of a guy that likes to pile old parts next to NOS boxes as misleading eye candy.
