Question about the tool roll strap? Which way does it mount? Buckle to left or right. Left seems to make sense but this is a British car.

Here's a couple of pics I have from who knows where... very hard to see which way actually .. and they have obviously been off and back on the car
Are you goin' all 'concours correct' on us Duke ??

looks MUCH better in RED! :D

You were asking about the correct size for the wood piece under the battery a while back ( and it got answered by Moondawg ) but didn't see any size on the piece that goes on the side between the frame and side of battery ... Any idea on that one ?

Ohhh heck no. Figure I might as well put it in as was original. Looks like the buckle is down.

I have the wood piece that goes between bat and frame.

yup, South North

Buckle towards tail end of car...

black piece inverted to show rivets.

Were the MkI jack and handle in a different position? If not mine are in wrong.
Looking good so far, it's always fun to see the progress as you move along.

Looking nice duke, now you need a way to bump the front so you can paint the engine bay body colour... If you roll it they will rebuild the hardtop :O

The trunk is all out of my pocket. The front is getting work too from when it fell off the floor jack.....again.

Front is looking good again, why don't you do the engine bay while this was getting done? Iirc from YouTube it only takes you 3mins to get the engine out ...

Seriously though, why not the engine bay, you open that morevat shows than the boot.

When I painted my car a while back, I sprayed some 'European texture' paintable gravel guard all around behind the tanks... in retrospect, I wish I'd just done the whole trunk, floor and all :( Those Brits sure like to gob on the seam sealer
