I need the small bracket that bolts to the underside of the trunk lid that holds up the false floor when working on the spare or battery. Thanks for checking!! Reg

Anyone else got one they don't want.
My car came without one too. :(

It's a long way to post though.

Missing Too

Was just talking about this today when I was checking out VaCat33s Mk 1. Looks like my trunk lid was replaced at one time as well, so I need one also.

Are you guys talking about the footman loops that are on the centre of the underside of the boot (trunk panel and the rear firewall/shock mounting panel where the false floor goes on? google footman loop:

https://www.google.com.au/#hl=en&su...643af1c9e89bce&bpcl=39967673&biw=1202&bih=566

they also used them on early alpines to secure the spare wheel straps. If we can get the size sorted i'm sure there is a source for them

MkIIs

I believe the MkII Tigers did not have this loop on the underside of the trunk lid. I know mine has not had one since 1970. Was that a change from the last Mk1A, or was it a running change, with some of the later Mk1As not having the loop?

parts

Same thing at any Marine store in stainless or pot metal like West Marine .Also a Sunbeam Specalities .
While we are in trunk how about the DS and Pass. Side l shaped bracket the false floor rests on or paper template and gauge.
I do not think I saw male pin for Dzus bracket either.

Without it is a "gee I wonder what's making that noise "
oh it's the false floor flopping on a spare tire over a speed bump.

options

Bracket was up there at 1 time. Thought it would look nice holding the false floor open while at a car show, broken down on the side of the road, all those things our Tigers do so well! @ Warren. Marine store could work, Lord knows 50% of my ragged old 86 Bayliner runabout is West Marine...just wasn't sure I wanted the Tiger goin down the box store path...Walmart air freshner might be next!! @ BillG THANK YOU THANK YOU you da man! I'll measure between the screws and post if I find an exact stainless replacement(no drilling more holes!!) locally that matches appearance wise.

We made the dzus support plate for the rear corners for a while until the bean counter tallied the actual man-hours:eek:. I think Rick SS might have them now. The side rails can be had from any hardware metal stock bin, cut to length and painted black.

She arrived

Many thanks Bill. The little jewel arrived. Best Christmas present ever! Match up some screws to the holes and we're good to go!

@tiger 260, no sir, much smaller, but works great to hold the false floor up; got to try it today, thanks to Bill G!!!:D

Xmas Gift from VACAT33

I did get a Tiger related present this year. VACAT33 had an extra one that came from SS. It is smaller than the 2 for the tray.

Thanks and I hope all have a great new year,:D

Two needs

Would anyone be able to get a picture of the underside of the trunk lid showing the footman loop for me? I think i understood now that it is not the same as the two holding the forward end of the platform up.

Also, Does anyone have a correct trunk lid footman loop to sell to me? Please?

trunk bracket

Tigrrr, I will be 4 ever grateful to Bill G for his "footman s loop". I didn't realize any 1 would even know what it was. That said, the links on this thread provide good sources to purchase. Unless full concourse no one will ever know its origin ;)
