Watching The Car Chasers on CNBC Prime channel tonite and noticed that they featured two Sunbeam Tigers ( a stock 65 and a racer 66) from the Steve Plaster Collection at the Evergreen Historic Automobiles in Lebanon, Mo. They did end up buying one of them. Any way thought I would put out the info.
You can see episode #314 "Little Red Corvette" which aired on 2-11-15 on their web site: http://www.cnbcprime.com/the-car-chasers/ or search and program your DVR for the next airing of the episode.
Enjoy.

Looked like an early black dash car too. He basically got the Tiger for $35k and the Daimler for $25k.....not a bad deal. I liked the race car, that was cool.

You read the list of stiff done and parts, and you assume some of the stuff might be sourced or done at dales, but what I want to know is what series this car can run in with so many nob period mods? Open track sure, but surely no historic class with that engine and modern brakes?

I was thinking the same thing, and there is no log book which makes it a virgin to the track, or at least playing with the big boys. I wouldn't think you could run 15's in historic races.........nice car though and doesn't seem like a bad price for a race ready Tiger.

It says has 13x10 race wheels.. But 13x7 is max for a historic tiger I thought? The 302 4 piston brakes etc it just doesn't stack as a historic racer but a track day car
