Or non logged on maybe, but likely bots. Scammers look for things in postings like valid email lists. If you are really bored look at the i.p. address. The forum gatekeepers now Buck and formerly Rick use this and many other tools to keep those guys from dropping their s___, on CAT.
Putting a live phone number or a current email in a forum thread is an open door to the scammer. We have the PM system which is rather clunky but there is also a email option which will reveal your email to the forum member and allow a response, click the drop down menu.
Sometimes guys don't log on or respond to postings quaintly called lurkers that can be former Lord Rootes winners and really Tiger smart guys. I wish we could find a way to get then to contribute. On that note I have 3 different dipsticks and not one clue as to what was in the 260 or the 289 5 bolt, but I do have plenty of pictures.
