The Mark II on ebay looks like a nice restoration, how does one mess up the vin tag that badly?

I'd be more interested where the original tag went.

Also on a mkii these days at the asking price you'd expect the correct water temp gauge ( especially as they can be had all day long for $10-15 ± from sv alpines) a correct lighter, air cleaner housing, rear view mirror ( or at least a period one) and painting the scuttle braces to match the body.... Odd how they get and make it look stock and there are so many lazy substitute parts.

Found the rest of the photos, what's happening on the boit (trunk) floor? Flat panel replacement? Might explain the lack of photos inside the rear.

Anudder Opinion Is . . .

Fer all that time & effort, methinks a bit more attention to correct details would have been nice. 2-1/2 cents

That car is a fire bomb waiting to happen.
If you look at the video there is gas leaking onto the intake manifold - WOW!

I always love these kinds of restoration description on alpines and tigers...

" As a mechanic by trade, he successfully completed a frame off restoration "

And a Few Other Things

Did ya notice the water temperature gauge. Wonder what that is off of. And it appears the oil cooler is missing. I think the gauge is easier to locate than an oil cooler. The car does look pretty clean, though.

Mechanic

Not a radiator guy:rolleyes:

Oops soldered the expansion tank together wrong, check out the angle on the cap DOH!

And in honor of our other too busy to take a swing at the Pinata,

"Another saggy convertible top"

A reported Wooden Nickel like "let's change the tag cause we like code 1 better." one of our Facebook friends report a BON different color.

Not even a reasonable facsimile of a Alternator bracket or a washer bottle not to mention AC Housing :) wrong lighter, choke knob, backwards light switch, non black out on horn ring, no knob on washer, a cassette player Wow! wrong mirror, some things can't be fixed like the tag, but sure could have done a better job
