Some years back I purchased 4 MiniLites when the $$ was worth more that the pound. Why I didn't buy 5 still haunts me. I need a 15" wheel to be used as a spare. I don't need a high $$ Panasport, just a decent 15" wheel. TIA

I think the 2001-04 peugeot 206 gti alloys will fit... see it you can find one in a junk yard to check

Pukegot

They were back in the 90s. The French should stick to wines champagnes and football players World cup type..

I have the same interest on this ?

AAA card is a poor substitute for spare. I do have a nice bias belted tire.

To expand this thread a little how about a nice little jack suggestion too?

Fox body Mustangs have the same bolt pattern--did any of them come with a 15" wheel that would work? Back in the day I ran the TRX Mustang wheel and it had a good offset for the Tiger.

My autocross tires are mounted on 15 inch Mustang "turbine" style rims from the 1980's. As Cobrakidz says the bolt pattern is the same as the Tiger's. They are 7 inch rims and I do need to use a 3 mm spacer in the front for clearance, but the backs fit up fine without one. They are drilled for 1/2 inch studs, so getting the wheel centered on our 7/16 studs is a bit of a trial. I made a temporary spacer to slide over two of the studs to take up the slack until I can get the nuts started, centered and snug on the other two. I use the nuts that came with my VTO regular wheels that are fat enough for using their wheels mounted on a 7/16 stud. I think those wheels are drilled for 1/2 or 5/8 studs.

Just remember that the Mustang wheels have 7 inch rims and thus are too wide to fit under the false floor of the trunk as a spare.

I understand there is a temporary "donut" type spare that is out there that will fit under the false floor, but have no specifics. I just keep an original rim wheel with a somewhat new 13 inch tire and a bag of original lug nuts in the trunk.

Tony, if the Mustang bolt pattern is the same try looking for the "space saver" spare from that vehicle platform (Mustang, Capri, and probably the Fairmont too) This was a 15" dia. aluminum wheel, with either a 4" or 5" width that is smooth. Good luck.

Just a heads up

There was an article decades(?) ago, probably in Tiger Tales, concerned about how the rear end / axle housing was constructed that allowed lube to run from one end to the other. The concern was about running different size wheels on the rear which allowed the lube to run to the low end while the high end drys out.

There was also question if road crown would be sufficient to lose lube on crown of road side while using same size wheels. Apparently Brit roads didn't have much crown if any back in the day and no thought was given on this issue. I would think wheels of same size with all the turns etc. not a problem unless you drive straight on a well crowned road for miles and miles.
