You and me both...
I have kept an eye on eBay and those prices are beyond ridiculous or are just garbage.
I'm wondering if this item would be a good candidate for Repop? I would think there are a number of Alpine guys that would want these too...
There would be limited market for repro overriders, plenty available, contact Eric g, Robert jaarsman or al mason. They are repro in polished stainless out of the guys in Vietnam but think they for the stainless bumper kit, not sure they are correct profile cutout for stock bumpers.
My buddy bought a pair of the Vietnamese bumpers... They are O.K. once you get them straight. they are thinner than stock and the part that would curl under is mostly not there but can't really tell looking down on them.
The over riders are a different profile also
I have a few here available for a 'good guy' deal if interested...
prior to Chrysler days the over riders had a steel plate with a threaded hole welded between the sides of the over rider. weren't the four shown the ones the dealers sold as replacements. I have one of them still in the Chrysler package. the part number tag has been gone for years. the stainless reproduction bumpers do have a different profile than originals and the over riders have the same profile so they do not fit original bumpers.
This is the one I have have, early style. There are three different styles. I only need one. Many damaged bumpers out there and plenty of overrides. I haven't checked with any of my obvious sources, just thought I would throw it out here. I'll hit FB also.
