While bolting on my crankshaft pulley (260) I noticed the water pump pulley doesn't line up. Is it possible to push the hub the fan bolts to back on the shaft? I need about 3/8" more towards the pump. thanks in advance. Bill

Is it a new water pump? I believe that Sunbeam Specialties sells ones that the hub as been pushed back already.

So if you have another one go to a machine shop and get them to press it.

I go thru this constantly with the variety of motor configurations guys can come up with. For the stock damper & crank pulley location, the agua pump hub face should be 3/4" from the shaft tip.

Gene a member of theft um gave a measure mention of 4.75 inches from the timing cover. Mine is 5.25 inches. I will try to press the hub further on the shaft if the snout behind it allows. If that doesn't work I will have to order a new water pump from a Sunbeam supplier. Thank you for the photo. Bill
