I was looking through my stuff when I came upon this..what is it?

depending on the size of it (picture is pretty close up) it looks like the plate my voltage regulator mounts to.
 
I believe that's what a frisbee would look like had it been designed by British engineers!

When starting a thread? About a part in a photo?

How about laying a ruler on it to provide some scale?

Or did you want to make harder to ID kid?
 
I know, my bad. I thought some type of measuring device might help after I shut down for the night, oops. Good thing we have some excellent detectives here on the site.
 
Did all cars have these? I think my voltage reg was just attached to inner fender with machines screws and nuts on the wheel side.
