Wheel Trim Rings--Early Tiger

Hi All

It has been a couple of years since I last inquired about these.

Does anybody have ANY trim rings for an early Tiger. The ones I want are the ones with the basket weave design. See photo. I'll take one or an entire set.

They need to be in very good-excellent condition, as I already have a set, it is just that they are all a bit chewed up around the areas where you insert the cap removal tool.

Good luck. I need two to complete a set. I ordered a similar set from the UK a few weeks ago and will report on how they compare when they arrive.

ahetzel, have you received those cross hatch trim rings from the UK yet? If so, how are they and from where did you order them?

I did receive a set of wheel trims for a "Opel Rekord - Opel Kapitan - Opel Olimpia New Old Stock Wheel Trims" from 'a.m.classical.car.accessories' on eBay. The set is by no means exact for a Sunbeam Tiger and the dish is not correct. That being said I was able to press the trim flat and they do fit on the wheel. With the dog bowl on most people would never know that they are not correct. If you need a few cross hatched to complete a set and can't find the correct ones I would use these to complete your set until you find the correct trims. I included three picture:

1. A correct trim
2. The Opel trim that I got pressed flat and also concave as they came in the back
3. The Opel trim compared to a correct trim on the wheel.
