Nope....building my 260 as it left the factory. Will be a conversation piece on the stand in the garage.

Duke,

Why bother rebuilding it, if it's only a conversation piece?

You know, REAL Tiger owners have more than one Tiger. They reproduce like wild cats.

Now that you have another engine ready to go... ? Just sayin'.

Gary

Factory flavor was black . . . . . .not Ford blue.

Not so sure on that you rotorhead....black changed to blue in 66. So did my engine have black or blue???? The damned thing is now semi gloss black for the moment.

Not easy for a "collector" to surrender little hidden bits.

Awwww, come on....you know where they will be. Think of it as a service to be enjoyed by the masses vs sitting is dark, dirty box.

BON

Says the block is black up to around B382000600...how early is your '66?

Coming along nicely. The parts search/begging will continue!

Don't tell me that now---I sold my Med Blue Tiger and my Beater--down to one--actually feels good.
I know 65 Mustangs had black blocks and 66's went to the Ford blue. Not sure if Tigers did the same.

HiPos were black. Standard 289s were gold in '65.

Heater Hose-Intake Clamp

Duke

I have one of the 1 1/16th Ford Tower Clamps that I believe is correct for the Heater hose at the 90 degree Fitting from the Intake (just to the left of the dizzy in your photo). It would also be correct on that bypass hose.

Photo of my clamp is below. As you can see it is a bit out of shape, but with a little work is probably still serviceable. You can't beat the price...just PM me your address and I will stick it in the mail.

I will look around for others.
