Quick question?? has anyone installed a late model '67 Tiger wiper motor and its brackets to an early '64 Tiger? Will everything line up, bolt up, to where it is a conversion without modifications?? Early style '64 on the right, and later style '67 on the left. Tim

With a big enough hammer, anything will fit. Ole' # 78 has a later motor & bracket in it. It fit fine & dandy. . . . . . . It's still just as noisy as the original though.

Don't mean to slightly veer but... Lube?

If full wiper motor overhaul, doesn't new goo help with smoothness and decrease noise? I'm considering Phil wood bike lube for fun. At least on the cable from the motor box to posts. Any btdt?

How can I bench test my wiper motor? anyone bench tested your motors?

Tim,
Just hit it with ground and 12 V Power and it should power up. That's a nice clean one there. I used a later motor in an earlier car before, but it can't remember which years. I thought the only difference was the later two speeds.

PS: sent you a message on your ebay listing but never got an answer. Did you get it?

Degree's on the Wiper motor gear??

Looking for some help! Does anyone know what the wiper motor gear, requires to function as factory installed them?? There are all kinds of gears with different degrees (120, 150, 160 and others) that will fit, but what is the "stock" setting for the degrees?? I think its: 150 degrees, but not sure, there are others factors as I understand, such as, wheel box gear size.....??? need to pick someone's brain here. Thanks, Tim

You might try Lawrie Rhoads, who rebuilds these. He did two for me, very professional, good instructions. elawrene@verizon.net. Personally, having it gone through before installation is good peace of mind, given the PITA it is to install. David

got an answer to the question!

OK! just in case someone runs into the same question as I did. I'm told by a Lucas wiper motor rebuilder, that you take the (black) ground wire from a 12V battery, and connect to the (green) wire on the wiper motor. Second take the (red) positive wire from the battery and place it to the (green & red ) wire, motor will run in high speed, and if you connect both wires, green & red and green & brown together, it will be low speed. good luck!
