Interesting to see this MKIa at Monterey... apparently restored by Dale A... Apparently long term family ownership...

But car is missing both VIN and JAL...... Wonder what the story is....says it's TAC'd.

The Mecum site shows the VIN and it starts with DVM. The original VIN is not listed. Mecum wouldn't auction it if the VIN wasn't legal. Is it a salvage car?

It also did not meet reserve during bidding. Not sure if it sold after it left the block though. I didn't see anything in my brief search while sitting on the couch
