Hello CAT members,
We are really doubling down in April and will be bringing an opportunity to provide something for the performance Tiger enthusiast as well as the show car /daily driver owner with the double event.
April 27th, Saturday we will be coordinating with the LASAAC club and their Dralle Open Track day at the Streets of Willow in Willow Springs, CA. Already I’ve had a few members raise their hands with interest and since our last track day was in May of 2019, and it’s about time we head back and let our Tigers stretch their legs. The best thing about this is the event is that it’s on the Streets of Willow, which is a much more technical track that our little short wheelbase cars enjoy and, more importantly, being held in April. My own experience is April is one of the very best months to be at Willow Springs where the weather is very mild and not the sweltering days of August nor the freezing winter months that are common in the high desert.
Registration, pricing, and regulations will open soon and here’s a link to the their website. Once there’s more info on the event we will update the notifications in the forum and the email list. Notice on the website there’s a photo of a Tiger on the track which I believe was long time member and past CAT Treasurer Rick Mueller’s “Tiger Blue”.

On Sunday, April 28th we then head to the Queen’s English Car Show and Auto Jumble which is always one our out best attended events, and as everyone who’s been there knows that Jay Leno always brings something quirky and sometimes inserts himself into our club meeting and graces us with about ten minutes of stand up about our cars. Our official club meeting will take place at the car show at 10 am.

There are some who have already raised their hands that they want to do both, so we might be coordinating some sort of evening get together for those not wanting to go all the way back home only to turn around for Sunday’s event. Stay tuned.
